The game is still going strong from the shores of Lake Michigan to the Santa Monica Pier, passing through numerous small towns in the Midwest. Baseball Reference, their partner, created a fun database of every player born within 50 miles of Route 66 whose last season of play was in 1926 or later, the year the historic highway opened.
