Amherst Winery is situated in Western Victoria's stunning Pyrenees Wine Region, 20 kilometers southeast of Avoca. Norms' grandparents and great grandparents have cultivated the property at Amherst, a historic gold field. They seized the chance to preserve a portion of the family's rural tradition in the 1970s when the option to buy some of this land presented itself. Luke Jones, a second generation vigneron at Amherst, currently owns and runs the company.
