About Hanzell
A blend that was sourced from their ambassador's 32 acres in 1953.Hanzell The majority of clones are planted on St. George rootstock, and the average vine age is 35 years. They have discovered, ever since their first vintage in 1957, that their estate wines typically have the same flavor profiles and development year after year. The purpose of this drinking window illustration is to help you decide when to open and drink one of their wines or hold them for later by providing visual flavor profiles. Hanzell encourages you to taste their wines when they are still young and through all stages of evolution in order to discover your own personal sweet spot. This time period will be different for each person, but it will be pretty much the same from one vintage to the next.
