About yaharabay
With only a few items at first, the distillery got off to a slow start, but with assistance from friends, family, and volunteers, it soon started to expand. yaharabay expanded beyond being merely a family-run Madison business with Quint's stepson and head distiller, Lars Forde, in charge of the still and wife and co-owner, Catherine Quint, in charge of the distillery art gallery. yaharabay has increased its output from 3 products to nearly 40 in just 10 years. They have one of the largest import bottling operations in the Midwest, distribute to 20 different states, and recently expanded into a new 20, 000 square foot facility with an event area, tasting room, art gallery, and retail space. The Honeycrisp apples used to make Yahara bay's apple brandy come from the Kickapoo Orchard near Gays Mills, Wisconsin. The coffee used in the coffee liqueur comes from one of a select group of carefully chosen craft coffee roasters in the Madison area, such as JBC and True.
