Drink Simple was founded by two dedicated triathletes, Kate Weiler and Jeff Rose, who brought together their passion for whole foods, nutrition and endurance sports. The pair discovered the subtle sweetness and natural hydrating benefits of maple syrup while traveling to Quebec for the triathlon. When Drink Simple first tried it, they were hooked after experiencing the hydrating effect. After venturing into Canada, they sought water from pure maple trees in the United States. Kate Weiler is a triathlete with a passion for nutrition and general health. A native of Boston, she holds a master's degree in nutrition from Northeastern University, a bachelor's degree in psychology from colby college, and a certificate in holistic health coaching from the institute for integrative nutrition. Kate completed numerous triathlons, including eight full-distance triathlons, and was the finish line of the 2013 world championships in kona, Hawaii.
