It was here that they decided to stake their claim to plant the first row of Pinot Noir on Quarter Mile Lane, and in 1978 established the first ever winery in the Chehalem Mountains Adelsheim. Since 1971 Adelsheim has been obsessed with pursuing benchmark wines to celebrate the unique wealth of their estate vineyards and Oregon has some of the most diverse soil types as well as elevation and exposure.
