About Charlton Tavern
Welcome to Charlton Tavern, it is built around 1787. The tavern is on the first floor, and the kitchen and adjacent blue restaurant are located in the former barn and stable. The old restaurant with frescoes was added around 1835 and connected to the main house of the barn. Charlton Tavern has changed many times over the years. Both inside and outside have been structurally supplemented and remodeled. In 1969, under its recent ownership, a large-scale renovation and restoration was carried out. Hand chiseled beams on the ceiling were exposed, and the old floor was renovated. The interior walls were rebuilt with last year's materials. The fireplace brick was transplanted from the honeycomb furnace found in the cellar and combined with the independent fireplace frame beam to form an old fireplace.
