About Victoria's Candies

George Esposito, after working as a chocolatier in New York and Philadelphia for some time, moved back to Hazleton, Pennsylvania, to wed Victoria. With just a single copper kettle and burner, Victoria's Candies set out to supply his friends and coworkers with sweet treats. George's chocolates were such a hit that in 1934 he founded a shop and called it Victoria's Candies, after his wife. A larger plant was needed by Victoria's Home Made Candies not long after. George established the current location of his company at 51 N. Laurel Street in 1944.
