About Potli
Potli enjoys describing themselves as an avid traveler, painter, and writer when people ask them what they does for a living. Being a graduate of NIFT, they has a special affection for Indian traditional art and craft. Pooja is a passionate supporter of bringing attention to and maintaining these historic practices. Their interest for Indian folk art styles led to the creation of Potli, a company where they creates DIY kits for children based on Patua, Madhubani, Santhal, and Gond. Their goal is to preserve the traditional crafts, increase markets for the artisan communities, and educate people about these vanishing crafts. Pooja has deep cultural roots, and their journey began many years ago when they and their sister set out to focus on establishing rural people's means of subsistence.
