About Woodstock School of Art
Woodstock School of Art is a New York State-chartered educational organization with the status of 501(c)3. It is not for profit. The school is about 100 miles north of New York City in the well-known artists' colony of Woodstock School of Art. It is surrounded by the pristine Catskill Mountains woodlands. Throughout the year, students can take classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture in fully climate-controlled studios in historic bluestone and native timber structures. There are no prerequisites or prior experience needed to enroll in classes. Before they can fully comprehend the origins of them, they must first learn a little bit about the original occupants of its beautiful campus, which includes studios and offices made of native bluestone and timber: the students, professionals, and artists who designed, built, and taught them new skills. The structures were first built in 1939.
