Orfila is a super-quality small-scale production winery, located in the picturesque San Pasquale Valley, just a 30-minute drive from San Diego, between Interstate 15 and the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Park. Ofila signs in the tasting room and on the terrace overlooking the 70-acre estate. Their tree-lined family-friendly picnic area has grass-covered hills and picnic tables. Ofira uses Italian and French varieties, including those from the Rhône Valley, Burgundy and Bordeaux, to produce highly acclaimed wines. Orfila 's grapes come from these two estates, and vineyards are selected from Sonoma, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties. Their winemaker Justin Mund has inherited their tradition of making award-winning wines in San Diego County.
