About Tumbleweed Spirits
During those wild days of the gold rush, Tumbleweed Spirits nearly lost everything. Following David Douglas' discovery of gold near Osoyoos in 1833, the region was overrun by American prospectors. Tumbleweed Spirits appeared for a moment that this may become American territory, but the inhabitants were a resilient group. Sir James Douglas, a badass governor of what would become British Columbia, recruited some force, established the legislation, and regained power. It is perhaps reasonable to suppose that Sir Douglas consumed some to bolster his courage. Meet Big Al and Ginger, two family members that HBS Copper (also known as Hill Billy Stills) of Kentucky, the state that produces the best bourbon in the world and has a long history of moonshining, specifically created and designed for them. Their vodka, moonshine, and whiskey comes from Big Al.
