Hula Daddy first hired a local agronomist who has an excellent reputation for planning Kona coffee plantations. With his help, they pushed down the land and planted 7,000 coffee trees. Three years later, they harvested the first season. Coffee is not so good, but there is hope. Over the next few years, their coffee beans got better and better and they started to win awards and praise. In 2008, they hired a coffee expert from Minnesota (this helped the snowfall in Minneapolis just started).
