About Cafe Ba Ba Reeba
On December 26, 1985, Cafe Ba Ba Reeba founded Rich Richman with chef Gabino Sotelino, the brainchild of chef Gabino Sotelino. When Sotelino suggested the idea of Spanish side dishes to LEYE, Melman was initially skeptical. "Maybe it's their English, or maybe it's their introduction to the idea," Mr. Sotrino said. "Once he thought they were going to open a Spanish nude bar and he told them they were totally crazy! They explained to him, "no, don't worry about it! Don't worry, they'll let you know! '"Cafe Ba Ba Reeba felt the city needed to taste Spain in a restaurant setting, so he prides himself on showcasing his home culture and cuisine to the people of Chicago. He went to great lengths to ensure authenticity, even arranging a wood-burning oven to fly in from Madrid. It has turned Spain's hot and cold appetizers into an integral part of Chicago's dining scene.
