Bob Chinn's was born on March 2, 1923, in Duluth, Minnesota, the third of seven children. After working at a laundry in California, Bob's parents moved to the Midwest and started a Chinese restaurant business. The boy, Bob, moved to the north side of Chicago, two blocks from Wrigley Field. His parents owned a popular Uptown restaurant called new Wilson village.
