Believe it or not, when Ahmic Lake Resort was established in the 1930s, it was a part of a lumber mill. Even now, you may still see traces of the previous mill. The mill eventually stopped being used, but the resort kept expanding and modernizing. A dining room and five guestrooms were built to the lodge structure in the 1940s. The first campgrounds weren't developed until a few decades later. Ahmic Lake Resort's present moniker was chosen in 1979. The existing cottages, as well as the store and main office, were entirely rebuilt, which required a significant makeover of the entire site. Though they are incredibly proud of their past, they are even more eager to see where they and their visitors will end up in the future.
