About Dowans Hotel
The mid-eighteen hundreds. Sir Walter Scott's Waverly Books will before long bring the heartfelt fantasies and legends of the Good countries to each hearth where books are perused. Interim Charles Award, Laird of Elchies, has a plan he expects will carry work and success to the ruined Highlanders of his day. His thought is to gather various Mechanicks and other enterprising individuals into some centrical spot. Consistent with his promise, in 1812 Charles Award established Dowans Hotel of Aberlour. Dowans Hotel commended its bicentenary in 2012 and its liberally wide roads, appealing rock stone structures, enriching parks and gardens and clamoring high road, bookended by Aberlour Refinery and the incredibly famous Walker's Shortbread pastry kitchen, stays consistent with Charles Award's dreams 200 years on.
