About Stevies Creole Cafe
In 1986, proprietor Stephen Perry began his career in the restaurant industry. He started a business that combines his passion and experience with his love of people, good food, entertainment, and cooking. He opened his first restaurant, Stevies Creole Cafe, on the Strip, and there were people waiting in line. Perry used radio advertising to promote the opening and invited celebrities, long-time friends, and the general public to taste Stevie's Smokey Fried Chicken. Lines and subsequent visits were guaranteed by both words of mouth and paid advertising. For the sole purpose of sampling his signature fried chicken, customers traveled from all over the greater Los Angeles County area.
