In order to make the most of the ideal Hawke's Bay weather, the little converted "deli" that became Deliciosa overflowed into a carpark when it first opened its doors in December 2007. Sarah Watson, the owner, has continuously improved the food, drinks, and environment. Today's they settles into a delectable setting that has been created to reflect the spirit of its host locale. On the front lawn are some comfortable beanbag chairs adjacent to a beautiful terrace that is shaded by vines. Deliciosa terrace has an entrance that leads to a long, narrow wine bar with a lively banquette arrangement that continues into the cozy, leather-lined green room. To strike a mix between a laid-back village feel and careful hospitality, capacity is limited to 100.
