About Selkirk Distillers
Selkirk Distillers produced their first craft gin in September 2017 and its architects believed that the Scottish Borders had a rich history and rich natural resources to produce high-quality spirits. Selkirk Distillers's main plant grows on the rolling lowland hills of Selkirk. Gorse, known as Thor's Golden Flower, was carefully selected by the creators before being used as one of the main botanicals in Selkirk gin. Its next creation was launched in December 2017. The basic ingredients of Bannock Gin are also deeply rooted in Selkirk. The bannock used in the process comes from Cameron's Bakery in Selkirk, where the original bannock is located. The first batch of this delightful "bannock in a bottle" sold out in almost a day.
