About Margarita at Pine Creek
In 1969, Ken and Patty Davidson quit their real jobs and opened a Mexican import store and gallery in Patty's grandmother's house on Bonfoy street. Margarita at Pine Creek was then on the east side of the town. They named the store "Margarita" because they saw white daisies while traveling to Mexico (this drink was not popular in the 1960s). Ken was a wood and metal sculptor, and Patty brought her favorite soup meals in her grandmother's restaurant. Pati and Ken built this new Margarita with the help of architect Al Feinstein, which has been in Pati's home since the beginning of the last century. Patty's grandfather, Tudor, bought some of Tikiot's ranch and General Palmer's property to mine coal veins in sandstone formations along the west side of Margarita at Pine Creek.
