Willimantic Brewing Company was founded in 1991 as a small deli in the old Capitol Theater building on Main Street in Willimantic, Connecticut. The lobby and franchise area of the theater are limited to 50 people. Three years later, they exploded at the crack and moved to 877 Avenue, another historic building. There, Willimantic Brewing Company expanded into a full-service restaurant featuring American craft beer and an extensive menu.
