Tulsa Theater is a theater and convention center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was previously known as the Brady Theater, Tulsa Municipal Theater, and Tulsa Convention Hall. It was renovated in 1930 and 1952 after being completed in 1914. During the Tulsa race massacre of 1921, the building was used as a detention center. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is still used as a theater today. Since its completion in 1914, the theater has served as a venue for public gatherings in Tulsa. Tulsa Theater was constructed by The City of Tulsa between 1912 and 1914 with the approval of a $125, 000 bond issue and is situated at the intersection of W. Reconciliation Way and N. Boulder Avenue. The Kansas-based architectural firm of Rose and Peterson originally intended for the theater to serve as both a municipal auditorium and a convention center.
