About Scribblers Coffee
Scribblers Coffee independent, family-run coffee shop is set in a former private property that once served as their city's Community Hospital from 1919 until 1951. When the building served as a nursing home in the 1970s, a fire devastated the second level, necessitating the removal of much of it. A view of the coffee shop's side entrance Customers who are old enough to recall the building's varied functions are ready to relate pleasant memories of the hospital, despite the fact that several businesses have since moved in. Even though they started using the structure as a Scribblers Coffee and roastery in 2011, their goal for it is still to become a destination as important to the neighborhood as the Geneva Community Hospital once was.
