April Countdown — 20% at Project Write Now

Project Write Now began as an outreach initiative of Jennifer Chauhan's JC Writing Studio, a writing and education studio. Jennifer began partnering with schools and mission-based organizations to provide free creative writing workshops to children and to assist high school seniors with their college essays while she was teaching writing workshops in her Fair Haven studio. The response was encouraging because students and teachers started asking for more opportunities to practice creative writing. Jennifer realized that the writing workshops were not just about teaching students how to write better, but also about more than that. Composing together offered them chances to take advantage of their imagination, to investigate where their thoughts could take them, to feel associated with each other by sharing what was on their brains and in their souls. It gave Project Write Now the confidence to voice their opinions and thoughts.
