Kathie Hill Music has been a kid's choir executive since 1976 and a distributed kid's author since 1982. Composing for Benson, Arioso, Maratha, Star Song and Sparrow Music, she made thirteen musicals and won the 1988 Dove Grant for Best Children's Collection for "Astute Folks & Starry Skies." From 1993-98 Kathie served as editor, specialist and essayist for Lifeway propelling the Dovetail Music name for which she created ten musicals, made the companion educating asset, the Dovetail or, and the still well-known Made for Commend educational modules. Kathie Hill Music was set up in 1998 and for five a long time joined forces with Word Music to create thirteen musicals and collections, nine of which were finalists for Best Children's Melodic by the GMA.
