About Himbrimi
Skar Ericsson, an Icelandic artist, invented his own gin in 2013. He used to bring it along on fishing excursions in the Icelandic wilderness because it was designed to be the ideal fishing buddy. The gin was an ode to the river and was called after, which is the Icelandic name of the Common Loon, a bird well-known to all Icelandic fisherman. It was inspired by the fragrances of herbs that grow along the sides of rivers. "There are two ways to enjoy Himbrimi. Himbrimi was first used to stay warm when fly-fishing in a swift-moving river and was meant to be drank straight, much like a whiskey. It was then time to head back to the cabin after successfully catching the arctic char.
