About Henry's Vermont Market
The Henry's Vermont Market Market was founded in 1911. During the many years while the company was known as Salem's Market, loyal customers frequently visited. The shop was first owned by George Salem, and afterwards by their son Henry. After current owner Gene Guertin bought the business from Henry in 2001, it was renamed Henry's Vermont Market Market. Gene and Henry Salem worked together to learn how to chop meat the traditional method when they initially bought the store. Gene has since increased the selection to include smoked meats, marinated fresh meats, aged Vermont cheeses, fresh veggies, handcrafted ready-to-eat meals, Vermont maple products, fresh baked breads, and desserts in addition to fresh meat and groceries. They use only choice or better beef and cut and grind all of their meats in-house.
