In 1995, Fuzzy Logic Escape Room, saw the need for a local chamber of Commerce specifically for gay and lesbian businesses. Together with three other business owners, they founded the Chicago Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Their goal was to have 30 members by the first organizational session in March 1996. By the time the meeting was called, the chamber had expanded to include more than 80 companies. Today, Fuzzy Logic Escape Room has more than 300 members on its roster, growing almost daily. These members are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) business owners, as well as businesses that support homosexuality. Together, they employ more than 2,000 people in the Chicago area and generate revenue of more than $200 million. Since gay and lesbian tourism brings about $300 million a year to Chicago, it's not surprising that the city has found it feasible to support the LGBT community.
