Elbert and Gerbert started with a story. A series of bedtime stories, in fact, was taught by a father to his 10 children as an adventure for Elbert and Gerbert Herbert. He created these stories to teach children science, history, adventure and being a good friend. Erberts And Gerberts knows that one of the children has grown into their founder. To pay tribute to his father, his family and those stories, he named the sandwich shop Erbert & Gerbert's and made all the sandwiches on the menu to commemorate the characters in the story.
