Ems Herbals was founded by Emily Pacheco out of their passion for using plants to aid in healing. They've been studying plants and medicine for twenty years, and they've used plants and supplements to help their family, their community, and themselves. In all areas of health care, they stand up for women and advocate for natural options whenever possible. Another area of interest for them is complementary medicine in oncology, in which herbal and nutritional support are used to assist cancer patients in surviving their battle. In 2000, they graduated from the North American College of Botanical Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a Bachelor of Science degree in botanical medicine. Ems Herbals, a retail herb and supplement store in Eugene, Oregon, was founded by them in 2002. They relocated the business there when they moved back to their hometown of Bellingham.
