About Impact Coffee
In 2014, the Brown family opened Impact Coffee in the same building as their first business, a custom frame shop called The Perfect Edge. Impact quickly outgrew the cafe with 15 seats and began their first expansion. Impact grew as the Perfect Edge moved down the block. In the summer of 2019, owners Jeff and Sean embark on their biggest expansion yet, renovating a Decorah landmark that served as JC Penny's for more than a century. The Impact Coffee added a full bar of craft cocktails, beer, and wine, and the roastery moved out of Jeff's garage. The tiny cafe that once stood in a frame shop is now Iowa's largest coffee shop. The Hario V60 is the brand they use at their bar and recommend for use at home when it comes to pour-overs.
