Co-owners Ash Negi and Titin Demise were both born and raised in Ethiopia. The two met in Atlanta and knew immediately that they would always be a team. A few years later, Ash had a dream that gave him a clear idea of Desta. His wife, Titin, worked faithfully and passionately on the idea. The couple decided to start small and focus on the most important parts of their business model: authentic flavor, high-quality ingredients, organization, cleanliness, speed and quality service. After a lot of planning and hard work, Desta Ethiopian Kitchen opened on July 1, 2006. Today, Desta can accommodate 250 guests and continues to amaze first-time visitors. After many expansions, they have maintained their values, authenticity and excellent business model. Desta Ethiopian Kitchen is a truly unique experience that blends Ethiopian culture with modern business strategy.
