About Central Meats
Central Meats story begins in June 1960, when earl Edmonson started a company called Central Food Service Inc. He bought the Cobb locker factory at 116 cherry street, Suffolk, va. They provide lockers for people to store food, wholesale and retail meat and food, and run "frozen food programs. "Central Meats gained widespread attention and popularity, and soon had a respected customer base, a complete sales force, and a fleet of delivery trucks. The earl and his staff soon found themselves working long hours, night shifts and even extended hours, in order to take a second shift as the company grew. The earl and his wife, Ernestine, started a family to advance their careers. The couple raised two girls and a boy. Laura, Janice and Richard. While this is hard work, businesses often hold families together as something everyone shares.
