The Republic of Zambia's flag carrier is Zambia-Airways (2014) Limited. According to the shareholder agreement signed in August 2018 by the Government of Zambia through Industrial Development Corporation Limited (IDC) and Ethiopian Airlines Group (ET), IDC holds 55% of the airline's shares while Ethiopian Airlines Group (ET) owns 45%. The airline was created in 2014. Zambia Airways goal is to be the regions most competitive and leading airline by offering secure, consumer-driven, and market-driven passenger and air cargo transportation. Zambia Airways mission is to become the top-choice airline in the area by offering reliable, safe, and affordable passenger and cargo transportation that outperforms its rivals' offerings while also positively influencing Zambia's socioeconomic development.
