Takeflight Interactive private Pilot courseware is used in a recent University of North Dakota study to demonstrate the superiority of AI-based flight instructors over human instructors. Some notable quotations from that study are: Takeflight Interactive for student pilots who conducted simulator pre-training was 0. 34 when considering the transfer effectiveness of an artificial intelligence-based simulator pre-training program on the total flight hours realized by initial student pilots in the Private Pilot curriculum. This ratio shows that, on average, flight training time is cut by 3. 4 hours for every 10 hours of simulator pretraining. The study showed that students who took pre-training lessons completed the pre-solo block of private pilot training in fewer calendar days, required fewer hours in the airplane, and required fewer hours of ground training during the pre-solo block of private pilot training.
