About Virginia Repertory Theatre
Virginia Repertory Theatre was founded in 1975 by Bruce Miller (Artistic Director) and Phil Whiteway (Managing Director). Virginia Repertory Theatre is a non-profit, professional theater company and the result of the 2012 merger of the Barksdale Theatre, Theatre IV. With a budget of $5 million, four different venues, an educational tour arm, and an annual audience of more than 550,000, the Virginia representative is one of the largest professional theaters and one of the largest performing arts groups in central Virginia. For more than 60 years, Virginia representatives have served Virginia's adults, children, families and schools and have contributed to the cultural, educational and economic life of their cities and regions.
