Benoit's debut album, Nice and Warm, was released on the Justice label in 1992. Tab Benoit touring career took off after the title track became a hit on AAA Radio. Albert King, Albert Collins, and even Jimi Hendrix have all been compared to Nice and Warm on the blues guitar. Tab began performing 250 shows annually, a schedule he has maintained for more than two decades. Before signing with Vanguard, he made four albums for Justice Records and became Louisiana's top blues export. Tab was able to make his own recordings thanks to Vanguard; Tab needed to record the sound that he was attempting to make and in 1999 Vanguard Records delivered. After he signed with Telarc International/Concord Music Group in 2002, Tab Benoit music changed once more.
