About Texas Center for Legal Ethics
Founded in 1989, it is an independent, not-for-profit company that promotes the values embodied in the Texas professional creed. Texas Center for Legal Ethics was created by three retired Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of Texas to provide a treasury of ethics and expertise and resources by providing courses, lectures, symposia, and CLE workshops to the legal profession and others. Texas Center for Legal Ethics promotes the legal practice of Texas lawyers in an ethical and professional manner. They educate lawyers, law students, the judiciary, and the public about professional ethics and the highest standards of professional conduct. They educate everyone about the rule of law and the role of lawyers and judges in the Texas justice system.
