About Tampa Bay History Center
Tampa Bay History Center established the Historic Center in 1989. In 2009, the center opened 60,000 square feet of new facilities on Tampa's River Walk. Tampa Bay History Center was recognized by the American Museum Alliance and the Smithsonian Museum in 2012. It was completed in 2015 and includes three floors of permanent and temporary showrooms that focus on the 12,000-year history of Florida.
