The Steam City Marathon in Steamtown Marathon is a USATF-certified event and an official qualifier for the Boston Marathon. The Steam City Marathon here ends in downtown Scranton on Washington Avenue North between Linden Street and Spruce Street. Buses to the starting line also depart from the center of Scranton, which is away from the finish line. Before the race, you can ask your friends or family to drive you to the starting line in the morning of the race. In the process, there will be 13 rescue stations on the track and everyone will have water and sports drinks.
