About Southwest Washington Fair
The most colorful event of the year in this area is the Washington Southwest Expo. Every August, the 6-day amusement park attracts more than 65,000 tourists. Injecting funds into the local economy every year is the central stage of the region ’s unparalleled entertainment program, demonstrating the region ’s agricultural and industrial achievements. Southwest Washington Fair was formed in 1877, when an association was established in Lewis County to promote “agricultural development” and required the stimulation of friendly competition so that they could develop on the basis of the primary agriculture that prevailed in a new country. The unique feature of Southwest Washington Fair is that it is the only one that has passed legislation to serve the six counties.
