About Sofos
In the last part of the 1920's, Sofos made the excursion from Italy to New York City on board the Dante Alighieri. At only 14 years of age, Sofos filled in as a heater specialist scooping coal for the Joy Company, a machine maker situated in Brooklyn, New York. In the end work was contracted out the nation over and they were moved to Toledo, Ohio. In the 1940's, Antonio started to follow their enthusiasm for valid Italian food sources. It began as a periodic end of the week excursion to Detroit for imported products like cheeses, salami, prosciutto, and olive oils. Before long family, companions and local people started making demands and putting requests, and it wasn't long until individuals were arranging at his truck to experience the Old Country.
