Throughout 12 distinct counties in New York State, including Allegany, Cayuga, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates, Section V Athletics oversees and coordinates interscholastic sporting activities. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association accepts Section V as a member. Acting as executive director is Kathy Hoyt. It is dedicated to interscholastic sporting achievement while promoting a learning environment focused on education. To guarantee fair and enjoyable events, their staff members prioritize the athletes. To assist assure the caliber of their sports program, they work with a network of committees and groups within it as well as internal staff members who manage the day-to-day activities.
