Pounders Hawaiian Grill is a fast casual Hawaiian restaurant in Crestview of Florida. Their mission is to live and share the "Spirit of Aloha" and then provide quality as well as fast casual Hawaiian cuisine. They are looking for the intersection of the "Aloha Spirit" and the "American Dream". In 2015, after being turned down by three different lenders, Pounders Hawaiian Grill founder Kakela's grandmother and grandfather, Drasko, provided him with the remaining funds needed to support the food truck's start-up costs. And so Pounders Hawaiian Grill with wheels was open for business. The high spending on food trucks later drove their business into brick-and-mortar shops.
