In July 1978, Pirtle Winery was established in the historic Weston, Missouri. Currently, they are a small, quality-oriented winery; this allows them to give a lot of personal attention to their wines. Pirtle Winery believe that it is this attention to detail that makes their award-winning wines stand out among themselves and around the world. Their winery is located in a former Lutheran church of the Gospel, which was built by German immigrants in 1867. Wine is produced and bottled in a production building across the street. On the first floor of the building is their new indoor wine cellar with bar and plenty of seating. Their tasting room and gift shop are on the second floor, and a charming vineyard-covered wine garden is adjacent to the winery.
