Pinery Christmas Treeswas founded by Norm and Linda Osborne in 1992 when they purchased the retail assets of Pinery Tree Farm. Their son, Mike Osborne, joined the company after graduating from college in 1996. In 1999, Pinery Christmas Treesopened their first pumpkin station, which has since grown to five locations. In 2007, Pinery bought Del Mar's tree assets, making them the largest independent Christmas tree wholesaler and retailer in southern California. Currently, the company has five retail Christmas tree branches in San Diego, a wholesale and commercial office in Delmar, and seven pumpkin stations in San Diego.
