Keith Stanton established PIKESPEARING in 2004. The pike under Ice video series was one of their initial offerings. The first of its kind, this groundbreaking video series provided underwater footage of pike being decoyed and speared through the ice. Soon after pike under Ice 1 tales from the stabbin kabin was published, Keith created, tested, and began producing the pikekilla lure. The next year, Keith started selling the pikekilla lure by using underwater video footage of the lure in use as evidence that it works. Keith set out to develop and construct a successful wooden spearing decoy, based on the success of the pikekilla lure. The pikekilla decoy was created as a result.
