Their artists perform 11-60 internships in world dance, music, spoken poetry, and theater arts. To promote equity in education, they give priority to working with communities that have fewer art education resources. The Workshop has been commended by the California Senate and Parliament four times, and twice by the San Francisco City Government in recognition of its contribution to youth.
