Olde Colony Bakery is the oldest family-run bakery in the historic Charleston area. The Ricks family, including son-in-law Jim, has owned the company since 1990. In August 2000, to meet customer needs, their bakery moved to a larger factory in neighboring Mount Pleasant. In 2013, Olde Colony Bakery expanded a larger building on Mount Pleasant. In 2000, Phil's parents bought his company, Phil began to help them, and moved to the kitchen to do full-time work.
